Yes, I don't think that there's really any point in it at this stage. The problem is, I can't imagine that it would increase the numbers at all.

Yawn. Huh? What? Don't wake me up... er, did someone say 'politics'?
Well, I for one am not afraid of political debates; I even think that banning political debates is somewhat unnatural. Especially in the Talossan context - political debate has been an essence of Talossanity for years on end.
Anyway I don't think that political debates will shock this forum into more vitality. Both Talossas are first and foremost happy with building up their very own version of our nationette. Pan-Talossanism isn't a common way of life, yet.

When I launched the Cézembrian Arts Chat in 1999, politics was banned for there, because I felt that we were losing too many citizens over the endless vitriolic fights on Witt. But Ben is gone, and the fights aren't that vicious any longer...
